Available at Renaissance College, King George V School, Kennedy School and Quarry Bay School
The language camps start at 9 am and finish at noon, and children have various themes to choose from, such as Journey with Eager Explorers, Primary Reader’s Theatre & Primary Writing, Spanish through Art and Culture, Primary Science (STEM) and much more!
Multi-sports camp starts at 1 pm, and they combine a range of age-appropriate activities that aim to develop a core range of skills such as fundamental motor skills through to more sophisticated game-related abilities.
School Bus Service: School bus service is available for Full Day Summer Camps (classes start at 9am and end at 4pm) and Morning Courses (classes start at 9am and end at 12pm) at Kennedy School and Quarry Bay School only, please click HERE for more details.
Lunch Arrangement: Parents are expected to pack food for their children to bring to class every day – lunch delivery is NOT allowed. There are no microwaves / refrigerators available, so something light and easy to carry, say sandwiches and wraps for example, is highly recommended as there is a sport session after lunch. Children will be having lunch in a designated area supervised by teachers between 12 nn and 1 pm. There will be breaks during class, parents may prepare snacks for their children.
*All persons should bring their own bottle of water / drink to school as the water fountains will not be in use.

Eager Explorers
Upper Kindergarten: 5 years (Suitable for students transitioning to primary school), Primary: 6-8 years
Join our Eager Explorers as they take a different route each week and venture down a path of fun and intrigue. This course uses drama, games, story books and art to develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills whilst broadening knowledge and experiences. With four weeks of programmes to choose from, students will set off on an exciting new expedition each week, taking them to different areas of discovery….
Calling all explorers! Which route will you take first?
Fantasy Forest – meet your favourite fairytale characters and experience a magical world with some unexpected twists and turns along the way
Treehouse Trail – trek through different environments but be sure you make it back to the lookout before it gets dark
Senses Swamp – sniff, splash, lick, look and listen as you wade through food-filled stories
Creature Canyon – from outwitted wolves to dancing giraffes you’ll encounter surprising animal antics
The course materials are on a 4-week rotation, meaning Week 1-4 (July) are different every week and Week 5-8 (August) starts the rotation again.
Primary Preparation
P1 / Year 1 starters
This course is for kindergarten graduates who will be starting P1 after the summer. It provides a boost of skills, confidence and independence through lots of fun games, drama and activities in an ESF primary school setting.
Over the course of two weeks, students will practise a range of essential skills which will provide an important foundation to ease their transition into primary school. This includes development of their understanding of the following: up to 100 high frequency words; capital letters and simple punctuation; basic sentence structure; speaking clearly during presentations; vocabulary development through a range of medium including art projects.
**The course materials are on a 2 week rotation, meaning Weeks 1-2 are different and Weeks 3-4 start the rotation again.
**Students can enrol for 1 or 2 weeks of classes but 2 weeks is recommended.
Primary Reader’s Theatre
Ages 6-8 Years
Reader’s Theatre is a technique to develop reading with understanding and fluency. Using a variety of scripts to practise and apply new techniques, students will:
- become immersed in Reader’s Theatre to bring scripts to life as they work together to read and act out stories and their own writing
- practise phonics, pronunciation and intonation through character portrayal and presentations
- build vocabulary and creativity through their own script writing
- be immersed in a rich, English speaking environment to build their understanding, confidence and enjoyment of the language.
This course is a great opportunity for your child to develop their English language proficiency. The carefully selected scripts give students essential practice in oral reading fluency and public speaking. The scripts also provide an opportunity for group interaction and student cooperation.
This is a one week course, therefore we suggest:

Creative Writing

Creative Writing Week: Creative juices will be flowing as students bring their ideas to life. By applying a range of techniques, vocabulary and grammar our writers will then present their work at the end of the week.

Primary Science - Everyday Science (STEM)

Technology is advancing and the world is evolving, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) has come to the fore and it is now vital for all students to know the essentials of this subject….or lose out!
Students will gain vital hands-on skills as they dive deep into engineering, design and simple technology challenges that will help shape their understanding of a diverse range of STEM topics and how these concepts can be applied in real life. CoSpaces Edu: Make AR & VR in the Classroom

Minecraft Creator (Education Edition)
Ages 6-8 years
Minecraft is MUCH more than just a game! In this class, we’ll challenge your child to build their own interactive 3D world. Not only will they learn how to make weapons and characters, but they’ll also learn how to visualize physics and chemistry along the way!
With Minecraft, you can simulate magnets, circuits, a gladiator and more! Despite being a game, Minecraft is a place with absolute creative freedom.
We’ll also pair up Minecraft with MakeCode, where kids can write programs to automate the construction of structures. What’s more? Kids will build circuits and game contraptions for their friends to explore!

Primary Debate - Debate & Dialogue
Debates are fun and engaging activities that exercise the brain to use all four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, sometimes concurrently.
In this course, students will:
- Understand how debating works, what the rules are and how to debate effectively
- Use formal language, persuasive techniques and connectives in a speech
- Structure ideas on a given topic, using evidence and examples to enhance arguments
- Develop critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills
- Learn to express themselves confidently, coherently and assertively
This course is suitable for students who are new to debating and those who have already developed a taste for debating in their primary schools. It can also prepare them for a variety of opportunities that they will come across in their secondary schools.

Spanish Through Art & Culture
Ages 7-10 Years
Spanish is a vibrant language with a fascinating culture. This summer, we are excited to offer a brand new Spanish course, in which students are immersed in the Hispanic art and culture as they develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Each day, students will build their understanding of the language through a different component of the culture. From latino music to indigenous art, students will travel in time through all the richness of Hispanic music, customs, people and colours. An immersion into different activities and art projects that will enrich not only their communication skills but also their love for art and their knowledge of different art techniques.
**The course materials are on a 2 week rotation, meaning Weeks 2-3 are different and Weeks 4-5 starts the rotation again.
**Students can enrol for 1 or 2 weeks of classes but 2 weeks is recommended
Drama Stars Creativity Camp
Ages 5 years
Combining acting, music, movement and theatre-crafts, students will study an engaging theme and become the characters of the story. There will be a filmed performance at the end of the course.
Students will:
- Learn wide-ranging skills in acting, movement and theatre-crafts
- Perform individually and as a team
- Play fun and challenging games to build their performing skills
- Create costumes, props and set pieces
- Create their own filmed performance

Students can attend 3 or 5 times a week.
Drama Loop Creativity Camp
Ages 6-8 years
Combining acting, music, movement and theatre-crafts, students will study an engaging theme, becoming the characters of the story to further embed their learning. There will be a filmed performance at the end of the course.
Students will:
- Learn wide-ranging skills in acting, movement and theatre-crafts
- Perform individually and as a team
- Play fun and challenging games to build their performing skills
- Create costumes, props and set pieces
- Create their own filmed performance

Students can attend 3 or 5 times a week.
Drama Circle Creativity Camp
Ages 8-10 years
Combining acting, music, movement and theatre-crafts, students will experience all elements of a drama performances, becoming a character, creating their props or costumes, rehearsing and performing. There will be a filmed performance at the end of the course.
Students will:
- Learn wide-ranging skills in acting, movement and theatre-crafts
- Perform individually and as a team
- Play fun and challenging games to build their performing skills
- Create costumes, props and set pieces
- Create your own filmed performance

Multisports
Ages 5 – 10 Years
Summertime is the time to get out and get moving and with an ESF Multi-Sports Camp, your child will do just that! Providing a safe and enjoyable environment for students, our enthusiastic approach, combined with expert coaches with a passion for sport, enables every student to develop their skills and self-confidence in a range of activities, both as an individual and within a group or team dynamic.
*Wet camps (swimming session included) are available at RC whereas Dry camps do not include any swimming session.
