February 22, 2019

1. What is your name?

Ivy Tang

2. Where do you teach?

ESF Language & Learning Centre (Wan Chai), ESF Tsing Yi International Kindergarten & ESF Tung Chung International Kindergarten

3. What classes do you teach?

4. Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?

I am a scaredy-cat! I get easily frightened by haunted houses, loud noises, airplane turbulence, etc.

5. What are your hobbies?

Body combat, dancing with my baby and planning a travel itinerary.

6. Do you have any unusual talents?

I can calm a crying child in less than a minute (doesn't always work tho).

7. Why do you enjoy teaching at ESF Language & Learning?

While children are enjoying the fun of learning through age-appropriate activities, I feel like I am learning a lot from my students at the same time. Not only do I love to see children's smiles, but also the smiles on the parents' faces are priceless while watching their children engaged during lesson!

8. Share a funny story that has happened in your classroom.

There was this one time when we had gloop for Halloween-themed sensory play. No children were willing to touch it at first until they heard two parents were saying "I couldn't stop playing with it." "How soothing to play this!" "I can play this all day long!" It showed the power of positive parenting.
