More than just a game: Introduction to Sports Journalism
Are you aware that sport gives you another window to view the world? Do you realise there is more than one way to experience sport? This programme gives students an introduction to sports journalism. Students can learn about concepts of observing and analysing sport, interviewing and reporting. Through hands-on activities and discussions led by veteran sports media practitioner Vien Tsang, students will enhance skills and creativity in research, analysis, writing, presentation and communication through a variety of sports.

**week 1 - Wednesday 7th July, will take place at 13:00 - 16:00. All other sessions remain at 09:00 - 12:00
Your Instructor: Vien Tsang
Sze-man Vien Tsang is a media practitioner, creative producer and lecturer with over 10 years of experience in the sport and media industries. Her roles range from TV Host, Radio/Podcast Presenter, Columnist & Writer, Journalist, Emcee to Marketer. She has worked with various media platforms, events, projects and brands including Hong Kong Cable TV, RTHK, *CUP, Goal.com, Sportsoho, and Sportsroad. She has global experience particularly in Hong Kong, the Netherlands and Taiwan.
Vien also creates different projects and work, one of her significant projects is Chasing the Chase: An Account of Hong Kong Sports Journalists' Stories', the first of its like in recent years. Additionally, she founded and runs Dawn Kiddos Creative Studio, a creative production team that involves talents from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Vien is an enthusiastic floorball player and aspires to build the first Hong Kong national floorball team. She obtained the degree Master of Social Sciences in Media, Culture and Creative Cities (distinction) at the University of Hong Kong in 2016.
