ESF Tigers Basketball - What to Expect

Technical Skills

Players are taught the technical skills of the game such as footwork, catching and throwing, passing, shooting and dribbling. In addition, players are taught how to move with and without the ball, and to increase their jumping ability. These skills are progressively developed on a continuous basis during the course of the term and throughout the academic year - practice makes perfect!

Game Play

Small-sided games concepts are catered for in typical sessions, progressing from 2v2 to 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 settings. Players learn best through fun and these games give students the ideal level of enjoyment to create a perfect learning environment where they can put their skills into action!

Player Pathway

ESF Tigers Basketball provides a structured player pathway, which caters for children from entry level through to competitive match-play. Our Development Academy Programme has been created with a focus on giving players the additional skills and tools they need to develop according to their age and level of ability and to compete in intramural local competition on Saturdays.

Competitive Basketball

Our Elite Academy Programme provides those players who have gained sufficient experience through the Tigers programme over a period of time to hone and refine their skills so that they can play in a challenging and competitive environment against external competition, allowing them to showcase their talents.

The ESF Tigers Elite Academy squads have competed successfully in tournaments throughout Asia and Europe and have now expanded to include four competitive age groups - U14, U15, U16 and U17.
