Why Play Sports?

Participating in sport at a young age has benefits that extend well beyond the playing field. It serves to

  • improve health and fitness
  • promote psychological health and well-being
  • develop social skills such as team-work and leadership
  • assist with problem solving and creative thinking
  • provide a balanced and holistic educational experience

Children who participate regularly in structured sport are often better able to organise and coordinate their daily activities, have greater levels of energy, and experience significant gains in self-confidence and their ability to interact socially.
