ESF Language Programmes 2011-12 Primary Specialist
We offer a wide range of Specialist courses
for Primary and Secondary students
looking to develop a key skills area.
Writing Skills
| Course Fee: | $4,000 (2 hour class) |
| Course Length: | 10 weeks |
The writing programme will stimulate your
child’s imagination and creativity, whilst
developing their awareness of different
styles of writing. Primary students will
develop their understanding of different
structures and grammar which will enable
them to write in a variety of styles.
Who is this course for?
The writing course is suitable for
students aged 7 – 11 years who have a
good foundation in English.
The course is split into three levels:
Level 1 for students aged 5 – 6
Level 2 for students aged 7 – 9
Level 3 for students aged 10 – 11
Course Objectives
During each programme, students will be
exposed to different fiction and non-fiction
genres. To ensure accuracy in writing,
students will also practice different grammar
exercises which will enhance their fluency.
In each programme students will
address the following skills:
- Draft and edit their own writing
- Apply a range of techniques to
enhance writing
- Write in a variety of styles, both
fiction and non-fiction
Interview Skills

For those students seeking admission
into a new school, our interview course
prepares them for the demands. Students
will learn how to conduct themselves
appropriately in interview situations,
how to answer questions effectively and
complete written components.
Who is this course for?
The interview course is for students
aged 9 – 11 years who are seeking
admission into a secondary school,
or wish to improve their general
interview skills.
Course Objectives
During each programme, students will
develop their ability to answer a range of
questions with good pronunciation and
detail. They will learn how to respond to a
range of topics and will gain the confidence
to deal with interview situations.
In each programme students will:
- Develop their confidence in an interview
situation
- Respond to a range of literature
- Complete a variety of speaking
and writing activities
