Our new Playgroup provides young children aged
15 months up with an enriching, stimulating and
caring environment in which to develop and learn
English. The programme allows young children
a gentle introduction to language learning with
the comfort of a familiar adult - parent or guardian.
Your child will be introduced to language topics by our
qualified teachers through age appropriate activities, art &
craft, music & movement and stories.
Our Busy Bees Playgroup is a great opportunity for children to
socialize with peers and develop a love for language learning.
The Busy Bees programme encourages children to learn through structured activities via exploration, manipulation and discovery. A weekly theme provides the backdrop for learning goals and activities that vary from week to week.
Typically, our Busy Bees Playgroup session involves the following:
- Welcome, Free Play and Music Time
- Stations for Structured Learning, including Creative Play and Thinking Skills, to provide the child with individual attention in a group setting
- Story & Snack Time
- Circle Time, for acquiring social scripts and interaction skills
- Games for developing fine motor skills and five senses recognition
- Closing and Good-bye.
The length of each Parent-Infant Playgroup session is one and a half hours. All children will receive an attendance certificate at the end of each programme.
PARENT / CAREGIVER INVOLVEMENT
This is essential, in line with our Playgroup philosophy of the importance of adult input in increasing a child's level of development. Involvement is limited to one adult per child.
CLASS SIZE and EDUCATOR-CHILD RATIO
Each class can only accommodate a maximum of twelve parent-infant pairs, who are led and facilitated by one Playgroup educator and one Educational Assistant.
Important Information
