Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) offers the world’s leading range of certificates for learners of English. Cambridge ESOL exams are renowned for their high quality assessment of real English as used in everyday work, study and leisure situations.

ESF Educational Services is delighted to announce that we are a registered Cambridge ESOL Examinations Centre, specialising in providing examination opportunities for young learners of English within Hong Kong.

Learning English at a young age gives children a head start in becoming effective and confident users of the language. Taking Cambridge Young Learners English exams sets them on the pathway to gaining qualifications that are recognised by more than 8,500 universities, employers and government bodies worldwide.

Cambridge Young Learners English (YLE)

Young learners aged 6-12 years can now take the Cambridge Young Learners of English (YLE) tests with ESF Educational Services. These exams provide a reliable measure of how well your child is doing in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. YLE has three levels. Starters is the first, aimed at young children with very basic skills. Children are encouraged to progress by working through Movers and Flyers. Learners earn "Cambridge Shields" in each of the skills areas and are awarded certificates at every level.

Cambridge Main Suite English Exams

Students at Flyers level can set their sights on the first two Cambridge Main Suite English exams, the Key English Test (KET) and the Preliminary English Test (PET). These qualifications are the gateway to a wide range of English exams for all levels and purposes.

Taking Cambridge ESOL Examinations with ESF Educational Services

There are several ways of taking Cambridge ESOL examinations with ESF Educational Services.

Option 1: ESF English Courses

Enroll your child on a primary or secondary English course and opt for the “Exam Package”. Our programmes are especially designed to teach all the necessary skills required to succeed in an appropriate Cambridge ESOL exam. Your child’s teacher will advise you when your child is ready to take the exam. Your child will receive 4 hours of intensive exam preparation and then take the exam.

Option 2: Cambridge Specialist Courses

Enroll your child on a Cambridge Specialist Course for the exam of your choice. Our courses offer intensive preparation for the listening, reading and writing and speaking components of the exam followed immediately by the exam.

Option 3: Cambridge English Exam

If your child has already reached the necessary level in her/his English, enroll for the Cambridge ESOL exam of your choice at one of our convenient locations - on HK Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
