Influenza Alert/Advices
  • Parents should check their children's temperature before they leave for kindergarten.
  • Children should not attend kindergarten if their temperature is over 37.5 degrees Celsius.
  • Children should not attend kindergarten if they are suffering from flu like symptoms: coughs, sore throats, or headaches.
  • Please do not send your child to kindergarten until fever/symptoms have subsided for at least 2 days.
  • If a child becomes ill during the school day, we will notify his/her parents to collect the child from kindergarten.
  • If your child develops symptoms of H1N1, you must notify the kindergarten immediately. Please provide the following information to help the kindergarten to take prompt contingency measures to prevent the outspread of the disease:
    • Date of onset (when did the child started feeling ill?)
    • Day(s) and date(s) of sick leave
    • Date of returning to kindergarten
    • Consultation channel & date: eg. General Practitioner, Govt. Outpatient Clinic, Accident & Emergency Dept., Hospitalization, or Nil.
    • Does the child has "Cough", "Sore Throat" or "Fever" symptoms?
    • For confirmed case, please specify the diagnosed flu type, eg. Influenza A, H1N1, Human Swine Flu.
    • Whether the child has been hospitalized.
  • Children should only return to kindergarten after full recovery.
  • If a child has been confirmed as H1N1 Swine Flu case, he/she and their siblings should not attend kindergarten unless they are fully recovered.
